Dynasafe Demilitarization, a business unit of Dynasafe International, is delighted to have received a Department of Defense Explosives Safety Board (DDESB) approval for its Static Detonation Chamber (SDC) at the Blue Grass Army Depot in Richmond, Kentucky. This approval provides the Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant project with the confidence that the Dynasafe SDC will safely and efficiently destroy the stockpile of mustard chemical weapons stockpile at the depot.

Yesterday saw the inauguration of the Dynasafe Static Detonator Chamber (SDC) at Poelkapelle in Belgium by the Belgium Ministry of Defence (MOD), attended by military, dignitaries and the Dynasafe team.

 

This Dynasafe direct turn key installation with the Belgium MOD is now successfully operational and has benefited throughout the project from excellent collaboration from all parties involved.

Dynasafe’s Static Detonation Chamber has been selected for the destruction of mustard munitions; part of the chemical weapons stockpile currently in storage at the Blue Grass Army Depot, in Kentucky USA.

 

Site preparation and construction of the state of the art Blue Grass Chemical Agent Destruction Plant progresses, however the fabrication and the testing of the actual unit is conducted overseas. The Dynasafe Static detonation Chamber is expected to be shipped and to arrive at the Blue Grass Plant around August 2015.
