Suspicious object rendered safe with Dynasafe chamber

January 22, 2013

After a suspicious object was identified in Järfälla, Sweden on Saturday morning- the Stockholm Bomb Squad was deployed. Around 150 people had to be evacuated from the fifty surrounding buildings.

Officers were able to shoot the object apart using the assistance of a tactical Explosive Ordnance Disposal robot. The goal here was to destroy the possible detonator. Since no detonation actually occurred, the object and area surrounding could not be officially rendered safe according to protocol. The object was investigated with a camera. The best course of action from there was to contain the suspicious object in an explosive containment chamber. The bomb squad in Stockholm relies on a DynaSEALR X10 to ensure protection and safety to surrounding persons and property. Later, the officers can remove the object and further investigate at a safe location.
